Does President Obama’s Speech Signal US Shift on Israel-Palestine? Democracy Now! Roundtable: 2 of 3 –
For analysis on President Obama’s Middle East address, Democracy Now! hosts a roundtable discussion with author Norman Finkelstein, Palestinian human rights lawyer Noura Erakat and Jeremy Ben-Ami, head of the lobby group, J Street. In his speech, President Obama said a Palestinian state must be based on the 1967 borders, the first time a U.S. president has explicitly taken this position. The Israeli government immediately rejected Obama’s comments, calling the 1967 borders “indefensible.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in the United States today and will meet Obama at the White House.

  1. Obama demands Israel give to the Palestinians, this land does not belong to the United States who are making these demands, but it does belong to God (Leviticus 25:23). As it relates to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, the Bible says that Jesus will return to this area and reign among the Jewish people from a temple on the Temple Mount forever (Zechariah 1:16, 6:12, Psalm 132:13-14).

  2. The Bible is not a historical document with any validity. Religious Fundamentalist psychopaths use this book of mythology to justify what every case they happen to like.

Both Israel and the US are systematically stealing what ever they want and backing up these facts on the ground with overwhelming military force. Might does not make right.

Only a just peace will prevail.

  3. Jews are top heavy in any decisions made about the rights of Israel and to hell with the Palestinians. Jewish terrorism in okay but Palestinian defense is not. Jewish propaganda on the major news networks is always 99% favored for Jews and no support for the suffering of the occupied Palestinians and the Jewish controlled American media are to blame. Average Americans believe what Fox and CNN tell them and they are owned by Jews, Google "who owns the media"

  4. @amper0003 He who lives by the sword will die by the sword. Might makes right has been the societal norm for most of human history. Life in such circumstances was solitary, poor, brutish and short. I am certainly wise enough to not threaten anyone I could not deal with, easily.

  5. I cant lie but this is how you know noura erakats parents are amazing people. Yousef and noura are both amazing and inspiring people. Respect to the parents for bringing them up so amazingly.

  6. I happen to be Zionist Liberal who believes in Open Borders for Israel, if it good enough for other Nations it’s good enough for us as well.
I just think people are people, black, brown, it doesn’t matter.
I don’t like it when people to think Israel is an apartheid State.
I’m not a xenophobe, I’m a Zionist who thinks people are people, and if they want to live in Israel that’s fine with me, the more the merrier.
