해커들 관심도 평창으로…’동계올림픽 사칭한 멀웨어 등장’
With just a few weeks to go until the Winter Olympics begin in the South Korean town of Pyeongchang, it seems hackers are taking an interest in the Games, too.
AFP cites the U.S.-based cyber security firm McAfee, which says hackers have been using the PyeongChang Olympics as a way to get people to download malicious software.
For example, organizations linked to or supporting the Winter Games have got several emails supposedly related to ice hockey… made to look like they were from a Korean counterterrorism center.
But in fact the emails were from Singapore.
Opening the attached document would hand over control of a persons computer to the hackers.
McAfee warned that such attacks will likely become more frequent as we get closer to the Olympics.
