Star Wars: The Last Jedi (also known as Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi) is an upcoming American epic space opera film written and directed by Rian Johnson. It is the second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). The film is produced by Lucasfilm and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis in returning roles. New cast members include Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran. Fisher died in December 2016, making The Last Jedi her final film role.

STAR WARS 8 trailer excitement is reaching fever pitch – could it really be shown at New York Comic-Con later this week? With just days to go until the Episode 8 trailer lands, expectations are sky-high.

The internet is awash with theories, spoilers, leaks and analysis about when exatcly Disney and Lucasfilm will put fans out of their misery. There have also been some beautiful fan-made posters like the one below.

All the previous promotional campaigns for Star Wars movies have followed a remarkably identical pattern which indicates that the main trailer will arrive in the first two weeks of October. Mark Hamill himself also tweeted and swifty deleted the biggest hint yet.

New York Comic-Con kicks off this week. It is the last major event of the year and would be perfectly timed to be the launch-pad for the next trailer. However the most notable Star Wars events only include a Shakespearean reworking of The Force Awakens and a chance for fans to fight Stormtroopers.

It looks almost certain that the Last Jedi trailer will arrive next Monday, October 9.

  1. After the last Star Wars the Last Jedi part near 1:25 Someone should have ignited their lightsaber, it just gives it that Star Wars Trailer to a movie you really wanna go see kinda scene.

  2. Luke didn't bring balance to the force if they're still going through all this bullshit Lucas Films needed to go a different way……….. a Star Wars fan from the beginning
