  1. Cowboy Bebop, the AMAZING soundtrack by Yoko Kanno is just sooooooo daaaaaamn goooood! 🙂

Also, I can totally hug Michelle. Not a lot of people know about Wolf's Rain, and I love that series as well. Kanno also worked with Steve Conte who sang a few of the songs for Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain. My fav songs are Rain for CB and Stray for Wolf's Rain.

PS: Emma, you're such a hipster nerd! 😛

  2. Though I love the darkside Anime like Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, Anime that stands out for me is Bubblegum Crisis it was and still is a great anime and has a soundtrack that you can never forget. Also if I'm correct it had a spin off series A.D Police not as strong Bubblegum Crisis but had one hell of a soundtrack. So many great Anime from back in the day Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Muyo GXP,Gasaraki, Generator Gawl, Yu Yu Hakusho. So many, Anime is like Pokémon got to watch them all and then watch them over and over and over lol. Great work guys

  3. A Star Wars anime-inspired animated series? I am SO DOWN to see traditional hand drawn animation anime style in the form of my fave movie franchise, give it to me now!
I used to read Animerica magazine, too, but I think I only saw like two issues back in the day.
My first introduction to Cowboy Bebop was a trailer promo attached to a VHS (yep, cuz Im that old! Sup, Emma!) of Gundam Wing, and I was like "this looks awesome!"
And then Cartoon networks Adult Swim or Toonami block was when I watched nearly every episode I could. Borrowed the dvd collection from a friend in my dorm, binged it in about a week, and from then on, I've been a fan. The music, the story execution, that wacky stuff with Ed & Ein, Fay Valentine's crazy sex appeal and sense of humor….it's the best!
One of my favorite "Sessions" is Ganymede Elegy, which deals with Jet and an ex girlfriend, it appeals to the pained romantic in me, and the use of Yoko Kanno's music during the chase scene is sooooooooo damn GOOD!
